Austin Coates is a product leader specializing in geospatial technology, remote sensing, and Earth observation, with extensive experience leading product strategy and cross-functional teams across the imagery ecosystem. He currently serves as Director of Product Management at NV5, where he leverages a unique end-to-end perspective gained from roles spanning spacecraft hardware, remote sensing software, geospatial analytics, and customer-facing applications to develop products that solve complex real-world challenges. Throughout his career at organizations including NV5, Blue Canyon Technologies, L3Harris, and Farmers Edge, Austin has led the development of innovative solutions supporting industries such as precision agriculture, renewable energy, environmental monitoring, and national security. He holds both a B.A. and M.S. in Geography from the University of Utah, where his graduate research focused on hyperspectral remote sensing and environmental analysis.
